Walls Poem by Tracy Franco

Walls

Alone with your thoughts
Raging like an inferno inside
The walls you created, so thick you can't tear them down
Anger burning a hole in your soul
The only thing you know
Blocking yourself from everyone, everything you have known
No where to turn, your thoughts driving you mad
Your own prison
You start screaming your lungs out
But no one hears you
Your heart beating faster, your palms sweaty
You feel broken, beat down by your own creation
Not knowing how to escape, lost in your own choatic world
Running in circles,
Always missing the door for your release
