Excerpt from PREFACE TO TENG WANG GE
(KING OF TENG'S GRAND PAVILION)
-- by WANG BO (650-676)
--Translated by Frank C. Yue
Sun-set glowing clouds and lone goose together fly;
One are the Autumn water and the skies on high!
Fishermen songs, at night-fall,
Cheerily resonate along Lake Po Yang's shore.
Geese formation breaks the cold,
Their cries echoing o'er river banks at Heng Yang old.
【籐王閣序】 節錄 唐 • 王勃
落霞與孤鶩齊飛,
秋水共長天一色。
漁舟唱晚,響窮彭蠡之濱;
雁陣驚寒,聲斷衡陽之浦。
