War Poem by Mehnaz Mahin

War

I would like to write a million words,
Using just blood and swords;
My stories are never ending cords:
In a land where weeping is only the beginning.
Hundreds of deaths without any meaning.
Everywhere you look you see children pleading,
Honest men beaten and bleeding
And
A helpless women dreading
Over the lifeless body of her husband.
Innocence is left in strand.

Hi dear Mehrnaz. I read your poem which seems a little political satire. Well a poet is like a knight and warrior to speak the truth by the sword of words. The cruelty and end of innocence is all over the world. I hope to see other works from you. Good Luck
