War And Peace Poem by Abdul Rahman Meer

War And Peace

War is a dreadful thing,
A preplanned exodus of lives into hell,
a weapon of mass destruction,
that brings upon everyone misery and gloom;

The dukes are drones prone to be controlled,
pelf and fortune their cape and throne,
the ever increasing radius of unjust reign,
is due to lawlessness and lust for fame,

Peace seems a long lost word,
unable to read or deciphered,
the dove is but a mere symbol,
when freedom itself is found so bound,

Why can't we comprehend?
Why are we too blind to see?
When the pain is so clear,
And the sufferings can be evidently seen,

Thousands have been rendered homeless,
Thousands have been destroyed,
All that was once bold and beautiful,
Is now a pile of lifeless Earth,

All that is left now is now hope for a miracle,
That will leave the World full of peace,
One that will deliver this beautiful planet,
From the evil clothes of war into a deep slumber of Peace
