War Crimes Poem by Rununah S...

War Crimes

World war I
World war II
I will not be surprised if
There ended up being another war.
Now a days, so many crazy things happening.
So many kids getting shot.
So many protests.
What is life anymore?
No one feels safe in their own neighborhood.
We have kids fighting for their freedom.
Adults protecting their young ones.
All anyone ever wants is just freedom.
People waking up with fear.
Wondering if they will live for another day.
They don’t know what to expect.
They hear bombs,
They hear gun shots.
They cover their ears,
They wonder why everyone is so angry.
Why can’t they hear cheers.
Not people in fear.
No need to keep looking over your shoulder,
Fearing for tomorrow.
No need to wake up and hide.
Be strong,
Be brave,
Be a hero.
Don’t go and hide in your cave.
Go save the hurt ones.
Protect yourself, protect your family.
Be prepared, as you don’t know what’s in store.
