War Teaches Us % Poem by Tom Zart

War Teaches Us %

I dedicate this poem from inside my tent
As the desert winds keep its silhouette bent.
My love of country is at full boil now
I'd like to describe it but it's hard to know how.

Tomorrow I'll hunt those who seek my death
Cursed by their hatred and foulness of breath.
I don't care if it's another God they serve
For their deeds of evil justice they deserve.

Their horde survives on a sick set of rules
As they learn the fate of murderous fools.
While haunted by visions of what I must do
I fight for country, liberty and you.

War teaches us to follow God's will
War teaches us to defend and fulfill.
War teaches us the path not to take
War teaches us the price of mistake.

THANK YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE IN YOUR HEART?
