Warped Blues Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

Warped Blues

Warped blues
When no one understands what your trying to do

Warped blues
When you try to help but they think they've got to help you

Warped blues
It's not bad luck or misfortune but rather how I was born that makes me look crazy and talk funny that get's you confused

Warped blues
I think I look happy you think I look scary and say get away from me to

Warped blues
We don't always get to choose the path we want to choose

Warped blues
I'm trying to pay my dues
So I can sing the blues
But no one wants to let me in
Because they say I look like I'm drunk from gin

Warped blues
I don't know about your path
Or where your at
but people have told me I'm one crazy cat
Just because I talk funny and wear a different hat

Warped blues
Discrimination is not always race, religion, sex, or color it can also be how you talk and what you look like too

Warped blues
You say something wise but you look like a fool
So no one believes you

Warped blues
You can't hold a job because someone wants to argue with you
Because you do something different then the way they told you to

Warped blues
To someone poor you look rich
To someone rich you look poor
But your not trying to be either
Your just trying to be you
