I was once asked
When I was emotionally unmasked,
Did I ever miss female companionship
And do I miss dating and a courtship.
Do I enjoy traveling all by myself
Do I enjoy being with no one else,
And do I enjoy living in my house all alone
Having no girlfriend to call on the phone.
Do I enjoy going out alone to the movies or to eat
Do I miss not having a occupied seat,
And please tell me about the hugs and a kiss
Tell me, those don't you truly miss.
Do you not miss not waking up alone in your bed
Not missing on your chest laid a lovers head,
Hearing a loving and a caring word
That only you are told that have heard.
Don't you miss not being alone day and night
Holding onto a woman with all of your might,
Holding on forever only unto her
Or is that all just a blur.
Don't you miss having a good woman at your side
Who would feel your soul with honor and pride,
And she would treat you honest and good
As any good woman should.
Don't you miss finding the woman who would make you a good wife
To which you could share a happy life,
The woman who could turn you completely around
Unto who you would be forever bound.
I once thought that I was a bad penny
But, then I knew that I was the one stronger than any,
If you knew what I was put through
I swear, you'd be a single person too.
