When i was down in the dumps
and the darkness was so bright
it was you who helped guide me to the light
when my life was wasted
and my spirit gone
it was you who helped me
laugh and play till done
then one day i turned and you were no longer there
only memories a trace of the love we once shared
where did you go
where did you run
when you left the laughter died
and so did the fun
why did you run
why did you hide
all this wasted love we shared
burns me up inside
