Watching Over Me And You Poem by kaitlin skelding

Watching Over Me And You

Sometimes, she feels regret.

The night she murdered his family.

Sometimes, she feels angry.

Why didn't she kill him?

Sometimes, she feels confused.

Why couldn't she kill him?

Sometimes, he feels hatred.

Why did she let him go?

Sometimes, she feels remorse.

Because she loved him.

he never liked the rain.

He never liked the way it looked... Like tears drops.

He never liked the way it smelled... Like the calm before a storm.

He never liked the way it felt... Cold.

He never liked the way it tasted... Like bitter, acerbic blood.

He never liked what it reminded him of... her.

But, he likes to watch the rain.

Sitting on the sodden grass, he stares up at the sky. His face is cloudy; unreadable. His eyes are questioning.

His mind is troubled.

On days such as this, he likes to think. He likes to let his mind wander. He likes to let his thoughts run free.

He wishes his troubles would wash away like the rain.

The grass feels bitter and cold beneath him. His skin feels icy. His body feels numb.

His heart feels warm.

he is alone. But, he doesn't feel lonely. No one is with him, but he feels a comforting warmth.

Someone is there.

He looks around, but never sees. He listens, but he never hears. He closes his eyes, and he can feel.

Someone is always there.

Someone is always watching him.

In the rain.

he knows the rain will not fall forever. It will soon end. And he will leave.

Until next time.

And, someone will be watching him again.

Because, someone will always be watching over him.

she always liked the rain.

she always liked the way it looked... Like clear glass.

she always liked the way it smelled... Like the calm before a storm.

she always liked the way it felt... Cold.

she always liked the way it tasted... Like pure, untainted water.

But, she never liked what it reminded him of... him

she never liked to watch the rain.

Standing on a dewy rock, she stares down at the Earth. her face is cloudy; unreadable. her eyes are emotionless.

her mind is calm.

On days such as this, she likes to let go. she likes to let her mind go blank. she likes to let herself relax.

she wishes the pain she felt would wash away like the rain.

The chunk of Earthy stone feels rough and jagged beneath her. her skin feels icy. her body feels numb.

her heart feels is not alone. But, she feels lonely. Someone is with het, but she cannot feel their comforting warmth.

she's always there.

she watches, but the other never sees. she reaches out, but never touches. she closes her eyes, and she can feel.

He is always there.

He is always watching her.

In the rain.

she knows the rain will not fall forever. It will soon end. And he will leave.

Until next time.

And, he will be watching her again.

Because, he will always watch over her.

...' he '...Sometimes, he feels regret.

The night his family was murdered.

Sometimes, he feels angry.

Why couldn't he stop her?

Sometimes, he feels confused.

Why couldn't she kill me?

Sometimes, he feels hatred.

Why would she do this to me?

Sometimes, he feels remorse.

Because I loved her.
