The Watchmaker prefers complex designs
Yet, his storytellers accept only simple answers
A lifetime wasted searching for a reason
The Watchmaker provides basic outlines
Yet, his shepherds ignore all obvious answers
A lifetime wasted refusing to see reason
The composer finds inspiration in the divine
The audience finds life in his instrument
The tick and the tock of the Watchmakers clock
Ticking away seconds and minutes of every day
The painter finds inspiration in the divine
The spectators find death in his installment
The tick and the tock of the Watchmakers clock
Ticking away years and decades of human clay
The invisible design of the improbable Maker
A conscious choice to believe, to be faithful
The sheep do not see the forest for the trees
The material shrine of the improbable Maker
A subconscious need to worship, to be grateful
The sheep do not see make-believe as a disease
