Watcing The Way Poem by Bruce Schwab

Watcing The Way

Say we sat sometime, and (just) watched the way,
Played Rorschach Clouds, sat in tall grass and swayed,
Held hands with our shadows, and (just) …smiled.
What if we sat sometime, (only) watching the way?
(Just) sat sometime, amid the whispering day,
And allure of tomorrow was never made.
(Only) filled ourselves with sweet breath that way,
Caught the scent, felt the caress, (just) let us say.
Say we (only) sat quiet as the day spun away
And night filled in light in a comforting way.
Your eyes became stars (Oh!) filling my gaze
I felt the brush of your wing, should I (just) say?
