Waters Roll Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Waters Roll

The waters roll
The beach trembles
The beach echoes
Pebbles rattle
And the night
Follows the moon
And a distant
Nightingale on some
Desolate beach stump
Rings her lay
Rings her lay
After all
It's fading day
Ah! to drown in the rage
Of the sea
Fading black before
Lights up another day
