Wayword Wind Poem by Samantha Campbell

Wayword Wind

The moon
looks like
it's staring
at me
tonight

Promising
to dropp love
down on me
in this bed
of grass
where I lie

Mixed up
with the midnight air
my breath scatters out
in the wayward wind
no use covering my mouth
but I'm ok because one day
I know I will get to see you
who ever you may be

I'll hold on

Til than Ill pretend
I see you there
in the moonlight

This thought
string ties knots around me
every thought that I have about you
It scares and excites me

I can't tell if it's the air
or the moonlight dancing
I'm gonna have to be with you soon
it's ok because one day
I know I will get to see you

I tell my heart to Hold on!

I think that I see
you in this moonlight
my heart thinks
it heard you calling
for me tonight
I wish you were
here with me
embracing
in the moonlight

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This started out pretty good but it just faded out like a dying hope

I wrote this a long time ago.
I think I was 15 or so at the time

Still holding on
but loosing my grip
