We Are Angels Poem by Jojoba Mansell

We Are Angels

Don't stand staring skyward,
though your heart threatens to break.
Angels walk beside us,
with every step we take.

In crowded streets,
through busy halls, everywhere you go.
Angels will surround you,
although you'd never know.

No halo do they wear,
nor are snow white wings spread.
The Angels are anonymous,
moving secretly instead.

These Angels stood amongst us,
are not visitors from on high.
They are mortals, born of this world,
folk like you and I.

You see we are all Angels,
sent here to spread God's love.
Within the heart of all of us,
is God's message from above.
