We Are Women Poem by Rebecca Lyle

We Are Women

We are Women
We are women, watch us as we rise,
no longer will be objectified.
Men don't even try to womanize
us or take back our rights.

Women are just as strong,
if you don't believe me,
men watch as we give birth,
and then go back to work.

We are tired of being second-class citizens.
It took many years to just earn to right to vote.
We finally had control of our bodies,
now they want to take it away.

Women's jobs are working full time,
coming home to cook and clean,
and care for everything,
We deserve twice the pay every day.

We just want equal pay
Can you imagine if women ruled the world?
I envision no more war, finally peace.
so treat us as equals, or maybe we will no longer need you.
