We Dance. You Smile. I Cry. Poem by Gracey Newman

We Dance.You Smile. I Cry.

I was ready for anything that night.
you look at me, I feel everything
you can feel it too. Tension.

Your hands slide down my spine.
I tingle. You smell my neck. A whisper in my ear
'your mine tonight'
The fear, the adrenalin 'what do you want form me? ' I ask.
you take my hand. Heart pulsing.

Many questions fill my head
many thoughts flood. I''m scared.

You lead me down to the cellar
in the darkness you whisper
'slide off your dress'
Now standing completely naked
you turn on the lights
I''m blinded by its strength

Finally my sight comes back. Unfortunately.
chains, knifes, swords and hammers, a metal table, straps, whips, mop and bucket, gaff tape, more chains, more scary looking instruments. More of everything I didnt want to see.

you hold out your hand your naked too.
On comes some opera music. Nice. Calming.
you pull me closer. A tear slides.
Fear rushes around my naked body.
We dance.You smile. I cry
