We Give Thanks Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

We Give Thanks

</>In the midst of grief and heartache,
There is healing going on.
We’ve traveled through the darkness,
And right on till the dawn.

Though tossed about in stormy gales,
With wind bent mast and tattered sails.
Our able pilot led us through,
With the forgiving heart of love in you.

We had to stop and count the cost.
It seemed that every hope was lost.
Then because our hearts turned tender,
In each others arms we did surrender.

I thank God for all blessings
That He daily sends my way.
And the blessing that I love the most,
Was when He sent you dear, my way!
