We Got Now Poem by mercy kihungi

We Got Now

Since you’ve been gone all I did was to wright for you.
You promised to wright back and reply all my mail,
Can’t tell why you went silent, can’t recall receiving anything from you.
I prayed and trusted that the angels are with you. It’s the least I could do.
Now that you are here, embracing you is what I longed for.
Got many unanswered questions but it’s all in the past.
It was a mile away, we had a long time apart but
It doesn’t matter coz we got now.
We got now… got now, have now, we are here.
Sadness followed and sorrow along but we got now,
Let’s fall in love all over again, we’ve got now,
We have got to use now

When you left I dint get to apologize.
Among other risks, that was the greatest of our love.
If ever I lost you, I would carry the guilt in my conscious to my grave,
And my heart would never heal of a wound I caused myself.
Trying to get in touch was all in vain. It teared me apart to think of the worse yet I could not help it.
Now that you are here, embracing you is what I longed for, what I want.
