We Have Come From Far Poem by Felix A. Ahia

We Have Come From Far

Rating: 3.0

We have come from far
Pestilence knocked our door
Where poverty do open
Plagued with infectious infections
The braggarts left us despair
But never broken
The star shines
We shall rise
We shall rise

We have come from far
For bloody thirsty demons
to hunt us
Day by day night by night
Left at the mercy of hands
Clutched with daggers
The braggarts said safety
but despair
The star still shines
we shall rise
we shall rise

Gluttonous chauvinist
Drunk from the safe
We have come from far
With trembling hands
and shattered dreams
The braggarts said equality
but despair
Our Sun Dims
through thick darkness

Still

we shall rise
we shall rise
