We Have Lost Our Love Poem by Christina Phan

We Have Lost Our Love

Rating: 5.0

When you love someone, you set them free, so
I did and went my separate way
I never heard from you again and I thought
We have lost our love
It was biggest mistake I ever make
I should never left you
It all changes when you came back
You call me, so we can hang out one last time
I was surprised and speechless all night
I thought it was just a dream
When we holds hand, you look at me and we kiss
At that moment, my feelings for you were mutual
What happen to the love and sparks we once had?
Now it’s all over
Long distance between us had tear us apart
We have lost our love
I had stop loving you
I don’t need you anymore
Our bridges had burn down
Our worlds had crumb down
We have two different lives
We can’t go on like this anymore
All these lies and sneaking around
I am sorry baby, but I have to let you go for good
I want to cry right now
We have lost our love
That we once had
I felt like this was closure we need
I have to say goodbye
I wish you all the best and luck, for years to come
We have lost our love
Please don’t call or text me anymore
I have move on
I can’t wait around anymore
You are better off on finding someone else
We have lost our love

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I thought walking away from you will give us space and time to do what we need to do, learn, and grow as person. I was wrong, because it only bring distance between us and tear us apart even more. We living two different lives in two different cities. I can't take it anymore. I want guy right here next to me when I call him to be there. I am sorry, but I have to choice me for once and put me first.
