We Just Might Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

We Just Might

Long as you know where I be,
I'm riding until the wheels fall off baby
cause you should listen
when I have your wholehearted attention
When I say what I'm saying
don't ever think that i'm playing
There ain't ever a loving
I've known with much potential quite like this
Don't entertain them bench players,
they're out for the season and won't be missed

We just might
lets stop and think
and do what's right
We shouldn't have to
be fussing all night

Can't tell me you don't want it
When the cigarette stays well lit

yeah, things are complicated but
nothing worth it comes easy
long as you know that us going
to war affects us both deeply
Ain't no denying there's a fire burning between us
When it starts to dim
that's when you should worry
but until then know that i ain't going nowhere
