What is it about love,
that ties up your heart,
squeezes it tightly,
then rips it apart.
It consumes you thoughts,
all through the night,
cripples your mind,
and holds on tight.
Does not release,
or loosen its grip,
strangles you heart,
then deepens the rip.
Yet will long for it,
its what we dream of,
every day of our lives,
we just want love.
After re-reading this I can totally understand it better. When someone grabs your heart strings and just keeps pulling and pulling till they rip you apart, well it never stops you wanting them to love you, or anyone else for that matter. great poem x
