We Learn Nothing Poem by Nick Jordan.

We Learn Nothing

I'm not here
To instill fear
Or to indoctrinate
With my beliefs
Or to adhere
Or to infiltrate
But to spread
So sincere
As I promulgate
A message so clear
That I wish to state
Within us lies energy
That is so great
To find ourselves
We must initiate
The frequency that we all replicate
That humans fail to reciprocate
The world is our oyster
Which simply depicts
It's back to the basics
An adversary mix
Of how many a mindset
Inadvertently ticks
To the pattern it knows
From a comfortable zone
Where it feels that it grows
And through this whole process
It reaps what it sows
And as a result
We learn nothing
And from nothing
Comes nothing, so nothing now grows......

Nick, I would not use two cliches to anchor your poem. The central message of the poem discounts the role of our unique minds. Each one has its own chemical-electrical synaptic pulsations. It does everything for us together with the automatic functiong of the brain, all of life. Learning every millisecond we move along through our lives.

Thanks for your comment Robert, similarly I wouldn't spell function with a g on the end of it.; 0)
