We Live, All By Chance Poem by Stephen Olufemi Omolara

We Live, All By Chance

Rating: 5.0

What do you say or what can you say about this abracadabra;
The more you look the less you see
Those that are involved so far confusion,
But the bystanders gain understanding.
What faces one, its back to the other turned; the talking drum.
This world, a game of chess filled with chances and vicissitudes
This world of perpetual risk, which makes man to think of "why am I here?
A world with eternal longing for departure.
We never know, whose turn it is to go
We jump from the frying pan into the frozen lake; a life of extreme differences.
We hop over death every step we take!
He that will die will surely die,
He to remain will remain.
We live, all by chance.
