My heart was broken
Just when I thought it would never mend
You came around again

Feelings I tried to let go
Emotions ignored came flooding through
The moment I saw you

I tried to cover the scars
Temporary patches covering my heart
When it was all about you from the very start

All the negative emotions
Took a back seat
To all our fire, couldn’t avoid the heat

My life feels good again
Forgetting all the bad when you walked away
I know we are going to be okay
