We Need Each Other... Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

We Need Each Other...

In this vast world, we roam alone,
No caring heart, no welcoming home,
But deep inside, we all know,
We need each other, to help us grow.

We cannot survive, without a friend,
Someone to rely on, until the end,
Through ups and downs, thick and thin,
We need each other, to overcome our sin.

With each other, we find strength,
To go the distance, to go the length,
A shoulder to cry on, in times of pain,
A hand to hold, in times of rain.
We need each other, in times of strife,

To guide us through, the challenges of life,
With a listening ear, and a comforting voice,
We find solace, we find rejoice.
In times of joy, we need each other,

To share our laughter, with one another,
To celebrate, the blessings we've found,
Together, our joy, forever abounds.

No man is an island, that's for sure,
We need each other, to feel secure,
To know that someone, has got our back,
Gives us the courage, to stay on track.

So let us not forget, the power of unity,
For in each other, lies our community,
We need each other, to survive,
Together we can thrive and thrive.

In this melody, I proclaim,
We need each other, for our hearts to remain,
For in the end, we're all brothers and sisters,
We need each other, to fulfill our destinies, and fulfill our muster.
