We Reclaim Earth Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

We Reclaim Earth

together as one
remembering we did fall
together we rise

we rise; to come back
to come and reclaim it all
we came back to rise

It all back again
to the day, of this time to
end the rise of men

again, and again
the rise of mankind forebodes
the 'we' rise again

to check, mankind's rise
'we' come, on the horizon
beyond distant stars

'our' rise here begins
when mankind's poverty ends
poverty of hearts

denied mankind's rise
toward the horizon's begin
then; 'we' reclaim earth…
