We Stand Out Poem by Paul Warren

We Stand Out

They say we stand out in a crowd
How we will always stand so very proud
And your speech can be authoritative and not too absurd
Like we are used to people hanging on every word

Scanning the room before entering is quite clear
And we will sit facing the door to see who is entering near
But If you chance to look in our eyes
You may see a touch of sadness that we try to disguise.
