It should not unduly perturb us
That we are not in limelight awesome
Not particularly privileged, nevertheless,
Our spirited self can seize some space
And believe the stars sparkle also for us
And sunny mornings bloom marvelous
Eerie evenings and moon-lit nights fold us in embrace
We also may awaken harp and lyre with ease
Though our strains lyrical may not soar up skies
And our dancing steps or gestures may miss angelic grace
We can pat ourselves with pride that we are not vainglorious
