Wean, Wane! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Wean, Wane!

The child,
Feeding on his or her mother's milk;
Mother and child,
Muse of life.

Night comes as daylight wanes away! !
Night hours with the moon;
Less around,
Less and round,
And then, the moon wanes away.
