Weeping Willows Poem by Jono Plunkett

Weeping Willows

Rating: 5.0

Oh kind maiden
Sing me a song
So the willows weep
and the heartbroken stars
plunge from eternity
into this vile infinity.

Sing a song to the planets,
each orbits you
like a lust struck lover.
Sing to the one planet
(I am the moon)
The one closest to you.
Without it all life is over.
Trust it’s orb,
Vital.

I will sit on the planets crust,
breath in dead air
and listen to your beautiful ballade.
I will weep like the willow,
I will dip my lashes in pools of tears
and I will sing your song
Until my throat stifles.

Promise,
You will sing to me
When I am buried with the willows.
Let me rest in peace
knowing that you sang your song
For me.
