I see
Threads about me
curling lines of thought
self-conscious trails
worming into my brain
some I hear
some I feel
some I see
Mostly randomness
these strange voices in my head
these sudden feelings
they pop up
All uncontrolled
Uninvited
these sights
the music, always the music
constantly playing in my head
always unexpected, mostly inconvenient
sometimes they are far
sometimes close
some feel familiar
most unknown
some shout names
some sing songs
some just incoherent noise
most probably just blend into my own thoughts
never knowing which could be which
where did that genius idea really come from
When I let my mind drift aimlessly
This is when things clarify, harmonize, even scream
Dying loved ones scream the loudest
Those screams get engraved into your soul
