Maybe you were tired because too much you cried,
Maybe, maybe you should sleep a while …
(And I'll sing you a lullaby.)
O, night hawk, please don't cough,
Frogs, don't croak any more,
Bats, don't you dare to fly.
I won't let the Sunshine glaring in your eyes,
Nor the breeze brushing your brows,
Let no one awake you.
I'll ask the Mountain Spirit to guard you, too.

Maybe you'll listen to the worms mud a-churning,
Roots of the fine grass water siphoning.
Maybe listening to such music soothing,
Is far better than the sounds of people cursing.
Now, just close your eyes tight,
I'll let you, let you have a sleep good night.
I'm covering you with yellow earth lightly,
Letting fly the burnt paper money slowly.
