West Wind Of Love And Unity Poem by Jacson Gelato

West Wind Of Love And Unity

Rating: 5.0

The wind keeps blowing westward
taking my love on the hills of remorse;
I have nothing that I can say or do
as you have decided to pack up and go.

I will not cry but my pillow will have tears
as silently my eyes will weep in my sleep;
I will look at the dawn andgather memories
as the chair will be empty at breakfast time.

Yet in the corridors of hope I will recline
waiting for you and knowing you will come;
it is not about the love we shared and displaced
it is not about the disagreements we enhanced.

It is about the little heart beating inside you
which will tell you that you belong to me;
and as you come I will have no flowers and hugs
I will have no candles or glasses of wine.

I will have my open-arms to hold the child
you will bring and give to me saying it is mine;
I will wake up the next day as a father
I will weep with joy and kiss you both silently.

Proudly I will walk like a prince on the streets
my wealth my treasure will be you and my kid;
the west wind will keep blowing gently as we walk
but it will never carry our love away ever again.
