'What' - Poem by Kevin Wang

whatnot what about somewhat
i'd try to find a better word
rather than that question crossing my mind
and i'd want to sort it out

always nothing specific
besides the love, the dedication for one another
still trying to recall those old lost words
as the “what” is sailing off into the blinding mist

the thieves, hijackers stealing the words out of me
it's like taking the personality out of myself
losing myself to the amiss
trailing down without looking back

somewhat about that wind
blowing gently across my face
as the kite sailing by and by in the night sky
these words itself dragging along like the kite's tail

could be annoying
could be sad
could be confusing
but there's always that question hanging around
as time pushes it away slowly

these days
don't even know what to write
but now i'd ask my other friends
each and everyone to same structure
the same sentence
about that “what”
that first word you think of yourself or anything else
this is what
what i'm talking about
at least now you know
these words
just minding my own words and writing
to the very best of my friends
you just gotta love that “what”
