What Could A Tear Drop Mean? Poem by Nomthandazo Tsembeni

She handed me over an exam pad and a pen and asked me to write down few reasons why i love her.
Instead, a teardrop fell on the page.

I handed it to her with the teardrop in the middle of the page,
she looked at it and saw nothing.

I saw her eyes getting moist with tears,
i asked her what got her teary,
she said i had no reason why i love her.

I lifted her chin up,
looked her in the eyes,
showed her a wet spot where my teardrop fell,
she looked at me and asked what can a tear drop mean.

I smiled and said,
'A teardrop on a page is worth a million letters, interpreted by a heart that cares'.
