What Do You Think Now? Poem by Aria Lei

What Do You Think Now?

So, then, teenagers are all ignorant, huh?
Well, how 'bout this:
I watched those numbers rise during the war.
I see the people on the street, and I DON'T
think they're all lazy bums.
I know the world isn't all rainbows and unicorns
though you adults, some of you, tend to ignore
many of these facts.

So, then, teenagers are all rebellious and stuff, huh?
For your information:
I don't rebel, I just show who I really am.
We act like ourselves instead of the perfect, flawless,
emotionless statues you want us to be.
We don't fight and stuff as much as you all think.

If you'd just pay attention, you'd know.
What do you think now?
