What Else Can We Do To Him Poem by Randy McClave

What Else Can We Do To Him

Two demons sat together as they did plot
As they remembered what was done to Lot,
So, they sat and they both began to plan
As they wanted to torment another man.
They sat and they thought who would be the male
To whom they would send to proverbial hell,
And then with a smirk and then with glee
As a child they then decided, that It would be me.
They first burnt and tortured my every limb
Then they laughed and said what else can we do to him,
As and adult they mocked and laughed when I lost my job
They were then angered, when I would not curse or rob.
And then when I was married with a church's hymn
Then they said what else can we do to him,
My wife then lied and then she did cheat
Which caused me more pain and suffering and deceit.
Then the demons again were happy, so they did laugh
As they hoped, I would be walking down suicides path,
But, instead I took a different road
The one were truth and love that God had sowed.
But, the demons were not finished with me not yet
They still wanted to give me more pain and regret,
So, unto them they had another whim
Again they laughed, saying what else can we do to him.
They then polluted my mind with such evil thoughts
To which the mind is acceptive and the soul rots,
Then when with anger and frustration I was cloaked
The demons just laughed, and poked and joked.
To cause me more suffering their works did prevail
When with my hearing I couldn't hear that well,
People at me then began to holler and cuss
Many times I was even thrown under the proverbially bus.
Then to me started coming all the bills
Which came from helping others and their needs and thrills,
When I asked for help only my voice was heard
Into my thoughts and belief the devils lies were stirred.
Then when I lost my family and I was in sadness and despair
And no-one for me seemingly did care,
Then when my life again became sad and very grim
Then said the demons, what else can we do to him.
