What Happen To Being Politely Poem by Louis Borgo

What Happen To Being Politely

I was born in the South were Yes Sir and No Mam
Is a custom that’s is southern hospitality wonder why they always said that
I remember a time when my grandpa would tell me you used to could leave your doors unlock
But, maybe that was “back in the day”
My roots is from up north but what happen when culture collide
Is being honest a fall from the truth like a “Apple Of A Tree” how do one stock for harvest
Welcome in welcome sir don’t have to ask dusk your feet off at the door
Had a teacher that told me he said yes sir and no sir to every one no matter color or age
But I guess that I ask how can a person be more maturity then there age
I was home school some of high school and what I found out I thought my teacher be
Mean to me and time unfold books read on end I learn I had receive a good education I learn
Those going off to college had a higher G.P.A as well
As well as understand self-education
People going to Speak and People going Talk how we see it and we receive is up to you
I later learn of Emotion Intelligence
I later learn of Self-awareness
I later learn of Sleep Duration
I later learn not everything can be told in school
At the end of the day I’m only responsibility for own action
Who am I
I’m just me at the end of the day
How may I be of some assistance?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This concept came from listen to the radio where a bully had bullie now a teacher and the teacher is now the bully kid teacher and the question was what should they do? Request a transfer to another class? Apologize to them? Well As I recall it was a Senator from NC that Ran for President that said he was never told to start a fight but…… That was a value I learn “from the city that Im” Bullying is there a Solution?
