What Happens Is Life Poem by Beatrice Sharpe

What Happens Is Life

The rumble of earth
The stumble at birth
Birds do not sing
The bells do ring
Red bridges shake
Something's at sake
What happens
Is life

People hold on
To something from prom
A long lost memory
It was all but temporary
Relationships grow
Then someone says no
What happens
Is life

The world is burning
Opportunities churning
What was on par
Is now from afar
A foundation of building
Burn down, unyielding
What happens
Is life
