Truth is
what I feel inside
is very hard to explain

never knowing
when it might change
like the falling rain

I can not
tell you exactly
how much I care

but I can promise you
that no matter what
I’ll always be there

to help you through the tough times
the rough times
and even the sad

I’ll be here for you
when nothing is good
and everything is bad

there will be some fun times
the laughter
and the tears

our friendship will be strong
and will last
for many years

so you see my friend
I’m trying
to let you know

what I’m feeling
and what
just doesn’t show
