What I Mean Poem by Angel 'zy' Dela Cruz

What I Mean

Rating: 5.0

When I say I love you, what I mean is that
thank you for being there.
When I say I love you, what I mean is that
I still miss you every second.

When I say I love you, what I mean is that
I was also tired, my muscles were shaking,
my knees were trembling, and
my arms were weakened.

When I say I love you, what I mean is that
I'll make it work.
I'll wait, persuade, and convince you.
Because my love for you does not end with
simple words like 'I love you'.

Dear, my love for you comes with acceptance.
These are the adversities that come with love.
And I'm willing to face it.

Because love,
You are a story that will never get me bored,
You are the kind of story that I don't want to end.
You are the one I need when I want to take a rest.
You are my space.
When I say I love you, what I mean is that
I'm happy. I'm happy because I have you.
