What I Never Was But Never Who 'I' Was Poem by Edwin Serrata

What I Never Was But Never Who 'I' Was

What I never was but never who 'I' was
Is much better than who I ever became
Much better than those who tried to be something that they didn't fit to be
I myself dreamt those dreams of becoming everything of nothing

A thousand different directions
And I'll walk it blindly since choosing is boring
I'll create a maze like path
To make sure no one can follow my path

And I regret not taking another path
A starting point to something else
Which could have lead me to another destination,
A dead end (which I wouldn't like) ,
A door
A fork in the road,
So much more and I will never find out because this is the path I chose

Still I can look back all I want
Just to miss what's in front of me
Stop and enjoy what you have now
Because you'll sturely trip over yourself trying to back track
