Edwin Serrata Poems

I escape the womb and today is a day of festive celebration
With great pain comes great love
I cry, stangely enough that's what I feel when I'm invited to the world
A bad start to the world
...

I wouldn't find poetry adultrey
Its more like fishing in the sea to cath a word
and lay it on paper to dry, so that way,
you can cook it,
...

I rock
Slowly, so slowly

I look to the arms which aren't mine anymroe
...

Everday will be the last.
A day to be older,
A day to be less than young.
I'm scared to grow up.
...

As the sun finally closes its eye for the day,
It bleeds out an array of majestic and beautiful colors
Almost impossible to miss
Natures true beauty expresses itself
...

There's this wall between you and I.
I Cannot see but can hear you
Nothing else can be transferred
No gifts, or hugs, not even a simple hand shake
...

You have to stop destroying yourself
Because you try to move, but the chains hold you back your pass.
And you have the key to set yourself free but act like you've lost it
You know if you move on then it's about leaving someone that never thought twice for you when you thought a thousand thoughts for them
...

8.

I can see your smiles,
Your Laughs,
Your tears,
And your love
...

The bell has rung now, there are four minutes
Four minutes to see that one person, doesn't matter if I'm late for class
A glimpse is enough for me
...

I know these feelings can only be dealt with you
The last hugs, smiles and exchange of words,
Will reside as a memory,
Maybe this is the last time I see you the way you are
...

Where was I when they said
'On your mark, get set, Go! '
I didn't hear the gun
Nor see the rest of the people running ahead
...

Without it, I can't go as far
Can't have much fun
No adventure is complete without it
My longboard
...

What I never was but never who 'I' was
Is much better than who I ever became
Much better than those who tried to be something that they didn't fit to be
I myself dreamt those dreams of becoming everything of nothing
...

Make it be known I do not do double takes,
This can only be once in a lifetime.
I know your worth it, I'm putting the chips down.
You of course are divine.

Thanks, Mom

I escape the womb and today is a day of festive celebration
With great pain comes great love
I cry, stangely enough that's what I feel when I'm invited to the world
A bad start to the world
The most negative feelings anyone can endure and only seconds out
And there is the cold,
The neglect,
The pain

Upside down and already getting a beating form the man in white
Its not my fault for being born on this day

I'm flipped right side up and then held within a blanket
I open my eyes for the first time of my life
Cradling me and smiling is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
And I may have smiled myself, but I won't ever remember
Thanks, mom
