What I See In You Poem by Marien Jacobs

What I See In You

When I look into your eyes,
I surely recognize
Deep inside: God’s love,
Sending from above
To pay the biggest prize.

When you speak
It makes people seek
The Someone amazing,
Our God, you are praising,
Who didn’t leave you weak.

Your touch is full of care,
And whatever you dare
It always makes me see
Even when you’re free
God is always there.

For you’re a new person in our Father,
Which makes you my brother,
We’re part of a Family through the blood He shed
And from the moment we met
I knew that in Christ you’re also covered.

Till this day you’re someone special to me,
And I hope that we’ll always be
Friends in our Savior and King
And through His love, may He bring
Us nearer to Him; and others see Jesus in you and me.
