What If? Poem by Marc Anthony Soedibjo

What If?

What If I said hi?
Would you turn and give me a sigh?
Or would you just Why?

What If I said hello?
Would I receive a smile so mellow?
Or would you just Furrow?

I see you everyday
Your pretty face
And when chances may
We say a few words haste

What If I had Twenty seconds of insane courage?
I would ask you for your Name
And I'd hope you'd do the same

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is dedicated to a girl who I see almost everyday at school. We're familiar with each other, but we don't really know each other yet. We've only said a few words to each other, and I'd like to change that. The first thing that I want to do is to muster up my confidence and introduce myself to her. I hope that after I do that, we can be friends.
