What if we all viewed each other,
from the inside out.
Flipped the script and valued ourselves,
wouldn't that be something to shout about.
We would be kind to ourselves,
No time wasted on shame,
Showed love and not hate,
Stemming from our buried inner pain.
What if we stopped for a moment, a minute, a second.
Used our hearts to direct our mouths, instead of firing words out like weapons.
Showed empathy,
Saw the bigger picture,
Allowed space and time to heal.
Leaned into our emotions and felt nothing but the feels.
What if our uniqueness allowed us to live in harmony, elegance and grace.
We didn't have to fit, into any group, circle or place.
Just allowed each other to live and simply "be"
Respected our differences and truths,
What if it all started with you and with me?
