Do you think that we get bogged down
About what might happen to us
We forget about finding happiness
Instead make a ‘what if’ fuss
We worry way too much about
The smallest little things
Instead of centering our thoughts
To what joys our daily life brings
Starting with the sunrise
Or perhaps you wake up to rain
You only have to wait awhile
And the sun comes out again
You have a dreaded appointment
A dentist or a doctor visit
But you know it will be over
Before long and you can dismiss it
Instead of dwelling of little things
That makes us so miserable
Let’s think about what comes after
When our life’s a little more stable
For God has a plan for all of us
We have to take one day at a time
So let’s forget the ‘what if’ phrase
Unless it’s the happy kind!

What if? Biggest little question in the world, isn't it? Love the 'looking on the bright side' aspect of this poem.
