What If Just What If Poem by Asha Adeana

What If Just What If

Here's where I sit and lie
Wondering about the days that gone by
For they slipped away
And still none knows how
Everyone slowly fades
So where I don’t know
For all the love flowed away
With a twist of a finger
And a toss of the wrist
So no-one should know
Just how this all came to be
With a lie in one hand
And thee ran free in the other
What if….
Just what if….
For my love got lost
In the lies of darkness
For everyday I try to keep you from everyone
And I started to keep you from myself
Looking back and wondering
What if
Just what if
I forgot
Then opening my eyes
Seeing your face
In the picture to still
For none wanted to talk
Not even I
So I’ll leave you with a thought
One no-one should think
What if
Just what if
It all was just a lie
One to cover the truth
So no-one will know
Just hurt he tried to cover
For how is he going to act
When he finds out the lies
To know the lover is lost
And new I never want
The friends’ betrayal
With a single no
No one should go through that
But what if
Just what if
I could just run free
Not wondering alone
To the dark nonknown
Just what if
I wake up…..and find me gone
